Police Detaines Officer For Sneaking 20 Congolese Into Uganda

Police Has Detained An Officer For Allegedly Sneaking 20 Congolese

Kagadi District Police have detained a customs enforcement officer who they suspect sneaked 20 congolese in Uganda. The officer cleared the nationals and yet the President had ordered the closure of all boarders and no entry or exit till further notice.

These 20 Congolese nationals sailed on a canoe boat to Kitebere landing site on Saturday night. Mr. Julius Hakiza, the Albertine regional police spokesperson says they got a tip off from a Covert Intelligence officers. This made them manage to capture the Congolese on arrival.

The 20 Congolese nationals are in isolation at Ndaiga health Centre 3. In Democratic Republic of Congo, the government locked down Lubumbashi for two days beginning Yesterday on Monday. They deployed security forces to desert streets and even ordered for stores to be closed. This came about after they registered two people with COVID19 who arrived on Sunday.

The president of Uganda has been giving directives since Wednesday last week in a bid t keep people safe. Currently Uganda has already registered 9 cases of Coronavirus all from people who just came in in the country.

Perhaps the government should find means of implementing theses directives so that people follow them. On the hand, everyone should take these directives personal because we need to be safe and healthy.
